Barry Bonds hit home run number 756 Tuesday night in San Francisco to surpass Hank Aaron's record.

Hank Aaron had held on to the record since April 8th of 1974 when he passed Babe Ruth as baseball's home run king.

Aaron was batting for the Braves during their home opener in Atlanta when he knocked home run number 715 out of the park.

He got off the record breaking hit against Los Angeles Dodgers' pitcher Al Downing.
