MONTROSE - The Montrose High School football team took the Southwestern Conference title last year and are hoping to repeat that success again this season.
Official team practices started bright and early on Monday morning for three-a-day practices while the Indians have less than two weeks to prepare for the season opener against Wheatridge.
Montrose started the season last year against Wheatridge at home but lost 14-7. This year the Indians are trying to get ready in 12 days to topple the Farmers on the road. That game is scheduled for Friday, August 24.
