Christy Dimond joined KKCO 11 News Team in May 2012 as a general assignment reporter, and could not be more enthusiastic about the opportunity!

Christy graduated from University of Wisconsin-Madison, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Economics. She credits her internship experiences at NBC affiliates WMAQ in Chicago and WMTV in Madison, Wisc. for teaching her the fundamentals of reporting and the exciting, ever-changing world of news.

In addition to her internships, Christy served as a reporter, anchor, producer and photojournalist for UW-Madison's student broadcast, The Badger Report. She collaborated with other students as a self-run news team to deliver weekly newscasts.

Originally from a western suburb of Chicago (Elmhurst), Christy is more excited than ever to be on the Western Slope and explore all it has to offer. When she's not working, Christy enjoys hiking, biking, exploring and being an advocate for celiac disease and gluten-free living!
