Chiara joined the KKCO News Team from sunny San Diego, California. That's where she spent a year and a half working as a writer at KNSD, the NBC owned and operated station there.
While working at KNSD, Chiara learned from some of the very best in the business. After working through the October wildfires of 2007, she knew she'd found her calling. Chiara is grateful for her time and experiences there, and learned that if you love what you do, you'll never work a day in your life. Prior to that, Chiara also worked as an associate producer in the sports department at KUSI, also in San Diego.
Chiara is a proud graduate of the University of California at Davis. As an Aggie, she majored in English but learned everything from how to milk cows and goats to the fluvial processes of the state's rivers, while rafting down them!
She also had the opportunity to study abroad in Havana, Cuba, an experience that fueled her journalistic curiosity and drive to seek out unbiased truths.
In her spare time, Chiara enjoys playing and watching sports, working out, cooking, crafting, and exploring the Grand Valley.
