Krystle Sonmore joined the 11 News team in May of 2012 and has loved the job since day one.
She interned with KKCO during the 2011 summer, and that's when she knew this was a great place to start her career. After graduating from Southwestern Assemblies of God University in Dallas, Texas, an opportunity opened up, and she moved up to the Western Slope.
While at SAGU, she studied Digital Media and was the director of the school's student film right before making her way to Grand Junction, but it was broadcasting that she truly loved. She was the field reporter for the live broadcast of football, volleyball and basketball, conducting interviews with players and coaches and giving updates from the field. She also took some time to team up with the local newspaper as a freelance writer for two years.
Whether on the sidelines or on the court, Krystle has always loved sports. In high school she played volleyball, softball, basketball, track...you name it! Now she is excited to be starting her career in something she loves and looks forward to the future that God has for her.
In her free time, she loves to scrapbook, explore the outdoors, snowboard, and hang out with her family in Denver. If you have any story ideas, she would love to hear from you!
