Lauren Whitney joins the 11 News team as a morning and noon anchor and weatherperson. Before coming to Grand Junction, Lauren attended Arizona State University where she was on the award-winning "Cronkite NewsWatch." Lauren is passionate about sports and as the former "Game Host" for the Arizona Diamondbacks, she enjoyed entertaining fans on the JumboTron during the team's home games. Though Lauren is a newsperson, she loves weather. This might be curious coming from someone who grew up in perpetually sunny Phoenix, but summers spent in northern Minnesota heightened her fascination with turbulent storms and varying weather. Lauren is excited to begin her broadcasting career in Grand Junction -- helping KKCO 11 News viewers get their mornings off to a good start.
