Jeff joined the KKCO news team in January 2008 as the weekend weather anchor and a reporter. He moved to the Grand Valley from his hometown of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Growing up in hurricane alley created an interest in weather for Jeff. He still remembers when hurricane Andrew came through Louisiana in 1992. He left hurricane alley for tornado alley to attend college. Jeff is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma where he studied meteorology and broadcasting. While in college Jeff was a member of the student chapter of the AMS, and he did a great deal of storm chasing; something he hears is not too needed here in Western Colorado. He is also an avid Sooner football and basketball fan! Jeff was a weather anchor for OU Nightly which was voted the number one college newscast in the state of Oklahoma. He also interned at WAFB-TV in Baton Rouge. He strives to produce the most accurate and up-to-date weather forecast. Jeff also hopes to cover stories that affect the community. He is always willing to hear story ideas from the community. When not working at KKCO you will probably find Jeff exploring all that Western Colorado has to offer. He is an avid golfer and enjoys playing tennis. Jeff is a sports junkie and enjoys watching all kinds of sports especially college athletics.
