Joseph joins KKCO 11 News from Plainfield, Illinois, a suburb of the 'Windy City.' Joseph graduated from Eastern Illinois University in May 2012 concentrating on Broadcast Meteorology. Joseph's fascination with weather spawned from a F5 tornado that devastated his town when he was a child. After combining his fear for severe weather and urge to learn more, he took to the path of Meteorology.
Joseph spent his time forecasting for Central Illinois where he was a weather forecaster for the EMMY award winning program WEIU-TV in Charleston, Illinois. He also had the opportunity to spend time training at the CBS affiliate WHBF 4 in Rock Island, Illinois, where Joseph learned the ropes of the weather wall.
When Joseph isn't in the Weather Authority Center you can find him rooting on his favorite Chicago sports teams (Da Bears, Da Bulls, Cubs, and Blackhawks). He also likes to spend his time writing music and attending concerts. Although a bit of a stranger to the high country, he enjoys the opportunity to hit the slopes and being able to capture all the captivating sites.
Joseph is looking forward to being part of the weather team at KKCO 11 News.
