James joined the KKCO news team in January of 2009 as weekend meteorologist and reporter.
Originally from Cleveland, Ohio, James grew up in Charlotte, N.C. and obtained his Bachelors degree in Broadcast Meteorology from Mississippi State University. He also completed an internship at Fox Charlotte before coming to Grand Junction. He loves learning about weather and is excited about the new challenges the Western Slope has to offer.
He made the trip across the country with his fiancée Amanda and their two dogs, Aries and Bailey, who spent much of the winter trying to adjust to the snow.
He is an avid football fan and still supports his hometown Carolina Panthers and his Mississippi State Bulldogs.
When not working, James loves to hit the slopes during the winter on a snowboard and the mountain roads during the summer on his motorcycle. He also loves working out and going to concerts.
