New York (AP) - JetBlue flight attendant Steven Slater has been released on bail.

He's facing charges of criminal mischief, reckless endangerment and trespassing after an arguement with a passenger Monday.

After a confrontation, Slater directed a profanity-laced tirade at the passenger over the plane's public address sytem, then grabbed some beer, deployed the emergency slide and jumped out.

Now Slater has more than 100,000 followers on various facebook pages.
