DENVER, Colo. (KKCO) - 9NEWS Political Reporter Adam Schrager confirmed early Tuesday morning that Tancredo has chosen Pat Miller as his lieutenant governor candidate. Miller is known as a pro-life candidate.
Tancredo is expected to make the announcement at 8 a.m.
The Denver Post had reported last week that Tancredo was expected to choose a new running mate by the end of the month as part of the deal he made when he switched from the Republican Party to run as the American Constitution Party candidate.
His current running mate, Doug Campbell, was chosen by former American Constitution Party candidate Benjamin Goss, before Goss stepped out of the race.
As late as last week, Tancredo has continued to urge Republican candidate Dan Maes to end his campaign for governor. Tancredo told Republican leaders Maes is not a strong enough candidate. Tancredo promised to drop his candidacy if Maes dropped out. Maes has said he will not drop out.
