The Daily Sentinel reported Wednesday that Grand Junction
Media Inc., a subsidiary of Seaton Publishing Co, was buying the
paper.
It says the terms were not disclosed. Cox Newspapers says it's confident that the newspaper ``will continue to be vital within Grand Junction'' under the agreement.
The Daily Sentinel's executive editor, Dennis Herzog, says he ``couldn't be more delighted with the new ownership.'' The newspaper says Seaton is expected to retain all employees and that a son of Grand Junction Media Chairman Edward Seaton is expected to join a team already in place.
Cox announced last year it was selling most of its newspapers in
Colorado, North Carolina and Texas.
