GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) - A freeze warning is in effect for most of the Grand Valley from midnight tonight to 9 a.m. Saturday.

Lows in Grand Junction could dip to 28 degrees and forecasters are advising that you cover or move your newly-planted flowers and vegtables into the house to avoid losing your investment.

A light to moderate snow began to fall in the early morning hours across the lower elevations of the Grand Valley. It was raining after midnight, then the snow began to fall steadily around 4:30 a.m.

Light snowfall is expected to continue on and off throughout the morning until noon.
