GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO)_The Mesa County Coroner’s Office has identified 39-year-old Shannon Gallegos of Grand Junction as the victim of Wednesday's early morning rollover accident on D 1/2 Road.
The Cororner says Gallegos formerly lived in Cedaredge. He was a passenger car headed westbound on D ½ Road shortly after midnight.
According to law enforcement, the vehicle was speeding, left the roadway and rolled three times.
Mr. Gallegos was ejected and died at the scene. The Cause of Death was Multiple Injuries and the Manner of Death was Accident.
According to Gallego's brother, he loved adventure and was a caring man. He leaves behind his parents, three kids, a wife and a sister.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Jaymz Brian Wolf Memorial Education Fund in care of Wells Fargo Bank, 500 Palmer St., Delta 81416.
Visitation will begin Tuesday at at 5 p.m. with a rosary at 7 p.m. at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary. Visitation will also be from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at Clifton Christian Church. The burial will take place in Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
