Police: teen resists arrest, officers slightly injured

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) - Police say a traffic stop turned into slight scuffle after they tried to pull a teenager over.

It happened early Wednesday morning. According to authorities, they attempted to stop Jesse Erekson on 12th Street and Orchard Avenue.

They say they found drug paraphanalia in the car. When they attempted to issue a drug summons, they say he took off on foot across the street into the Albertson's parking lot.

They chased him on foot and by patrol car, where they caught up with him within seconds.

He was arrested and will be charged with resisting arrest, and obstructing a peace officer. Other charges may follow.

Two officers suffered only minor injuries in the chase.

I Just found out today this guy is a Major dealer in Magic Mushrooms and Moon Flowers and he was just let out 2 days earlier from jail. As far as this chase I was told one officer received a head injury that put her off duty for several days and another Injured his finger that required surgery and put him off the streets for 6-8 weeks. GOOD JOB GJPD now I hope the judges will do there job and LOCK HIM UP!

Injuries: If you watch the video, it looks like they are taking pictures of a female Officer's mouth or lower lip. Maybe a cop got popped in the mouth? Glad they caught him! Get all the dopers!

Mojo - what does it matter what their injuries were? Who's side are you on? You are either on the side of God or Evil.
