GRAND JUNCTION, COLO. (KKCO) - Post tax day could be the right time to do some document spring cleaning.
“We come to the client site, we use a container, that holds a couple of hundred pounds of records, and we shred all the material,” said Scott Fasken, founder of Colorado Document Security.
The unassuming, and usually quiet until it starts to work, white truck houses a capable paper shredder running off of the truck’s hydraulic system. The resulting confetti is kept secure before being further reduced and then eventually recycled.
“Even if it’s been shredded, we still make sure, we just don’t dump it at some animal feed lot for bedding or things like that,” said Fasken.
Labor solutions will shred paperwork as well. It's a program for developmentally disabled adults with customers throughout the community. It’s not onsite, but they offer a pick up service, as well as keeping the shredding secure.
“No shredding leaves the building and all shredding is monitored at all times,” said Peggy Gordon, Labor Solutions.
