GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) - Not everyone gets to take a vacation for spring break.
"We get more business during the spring break cause a lot of kids are out of school," said Randall Chapman, owner and general manager of The Grand Junction Climbing Center.
Indoor climbing is one of the many choices available for people taking a break from work or school.
For the more outdoors type, there are biking trails nearby.
"This last year or the year before they built a bike park at the base of the Tabeguache Trails at the Monument," said Michael Getz of The Board & Buckle.
Those looking for something more educational can visit the John McConnell Math and Science Center of Western Colorado. For spring break, there is a family science night event with the little shop of physics on Thursday, and fun funky physics for third through fifth graders. It's an all day camp from 9 until 4 for two days, Thursday and Friday.
There are a variety of trails open for hiking, biking, and many other activities. Bananas Fun Park is offering a ten dollar special for Tuesday, March 13. Powderhorn is still open, with a month long March Madness Celebration.
