KKCO-TV is accepting applications for a full-time Videographer. Our Number 1 news operation needs a strong videographer who has experience visualizing news stories through photography. In a new media world, the right candidate will be able to edit and develop stories in a creative and understanding manner will embrace new technology and be able to work in a multi-platform setting. Prior television news experience preferred.
The successful candidate will demonstrate solid news judgment. We need someone who is highly motivated, versatile, able to handle pressure, meet deadlines and have a positive attitude. We are looking for a person with the ability to develop a solid grasp of modern newscast production, including story segmenting, extensive use of graphics, aggressive live coverage, virtual sets, satellite and ENG technology, new media and social media.
Newsroom computer experience is beneficial and keyboard skills are essential. Familiarity with inews and Sony Vegas editing technology is a plus but not required. We prefer a candidate with a four-year journalism degree.
