GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) - The Grand Junction Climbing Center came under new ownership this March and. since buying the gym. a husband and wife team having been doing everything they can to make it as family friendly as possible.
If you have always wanted to try rock climbing, but don’t feel comfortable starting on the side of a cliff, this is the place for you. In this controlled environment you can learn everything you need to know to climb safely.
This rock climbing gym isn't just for the beginners. It’s a great place to strengthen your skills and socialize with other climbers in the area.
The Grand Junction Climbing Center says the gym isn't just about the climbing, in fact, some people come for the workout.
With over 5,600 square feet of climbing space, nine top ropes, two bouldering caves and a large bouldering area there's plenty of challenges for climbers of any skill level.
The Grand Junction Climbing Center is open from 12pm to 10pm Monday through Friday. On Saturdays they open from 10am to 8pm and on Sundays from 10am to 6pm.
They are located on 1548 Independence Avenue, in the old Core Elements building.
Non-member day passes of kids under the age of 14 are $10, bouldering day passes are also $10 and an adult day pass cost $12. Plus they have equipment rentals.
