Animal Care Fair

The Episcopal Church of the Nativity is announcing an Animal Care Fair to be held on October 3, 2015 from 11 AM -3 PM on the church grounds. The event will feature pet adoptions, low cost vaccinations for dogs, displays by numerous animal rescue groups, pet services and retailers, and educational sessions organizations from around the Grand Valley who are all about doing good for animals. The event is free and open to all.

• Animal-related Art & Jewelry (proceeds to benefit animal rescue agencies)
• Amigo Animal Clinic will be on hand to offer dog vaccines (rabies, bordatella, DHPPL) ($5, cash only) from 11 a.m.- 1 p.m., or until supplies run out.
• There will also be a self-contained bee display, a walking path to explore bat and owl houses and activities for kids!
• Top Dog & Chow Down will also have food and snacks available for purchase.

• 11:30 a.m. – Cats 101, presented by CLAWS
• 12 p.m. – Animal First-Aid, presented by River Valley Gateway
• 12:30 p.m. – Pit Bull Facts & Myths, presented by Grand Valley Pit Crew
• 1 p.m. – Non-Aggressive Approaches to Dog Training, presented by Angels in the Making
• 1:30 p.m. – PTSD & Emotional Support Dogs, presented by Trail Song

Wolves, Hedgehogs and Dogs, Oh My! This event has been growing each year with many animal rescue and support groups including everyone's favorite, Standing Bear, founder of The Thelma and Flash Hedgehog Rescue. See some live wolves up close and enjoy some good food. Four free admissions to the museum if you adopt an animal (must be used at a later date).

Open house to help support the Pig-a-sus sanctuary.

We also this year have Renown Swine Diplomat Dr. John Carr, from Garth Veterinary Group, (see attachment) We were lucky enough to get him booked as he was in Canada lecturing and is coming between lectures before returning to Australia.

This is a great opportunity for the 4-H groups, leaders, FFA teachers/students, plus local veterinarians to meet an exceptional swine expert.
