Juniper Ridge Community School 2nd annual Spring Gala

Please join us for a fun night of dinner, dancing and a silent auction to benefit the students at Juniper Ridge School.

Tickets must be pre-purchased and can be purchased online at www.jrcs.yapsody.com or at in the main office at Juniper Ridge Community School. The cost is $35 per person, $60 for a couple or $400 to sponsor a table (8 tickets are included).

This is an adult only event. Tickets include dinner provide by WCCC/Chez Lena, music and dancing, and a silent auction. A cash bar will also be provided.

All proceeds from this event will benefit the students and Juniper Ridge Community School.

Pro Second Amendment Committee Annual Awards Banquet

David Kopel will be the keynote speaker at the Pro Second Amendment Committee Annual Awards Banquet. Kopel is Research Director of the Independence Institute, in Denver, and Adjunct Professor of Advanced Constitutional Law at Denver University. He is also a columnist for the Washington Post, on its “Volokh Conspiracy” legal weblog.

Kopel is the author of 16 books, and over 90 scholarly articles. His recent books include The Truth About Gun Control and Firearms Law and the Second Amendment (the first law school textbook on the subject).

Kopel was a member of the Supreme Court oral argument team in District of Columbia v. Heller. His Heller and McDonald amicus briefs for a coalition of law enforcement organizations were cited by Justices Alito, Breyer, and Stevens. The federal Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals has lauded his scholarship as showing the proper model of the “originalist interpretive method as applied to the Second Amendment.”

He is currently representing Colorado Sheriffs in a federal civil rights lawsuit against two anti-gun bills passed by the legislature in March 2013.
