This is the 8th Grand Junction Firefighters Turkey Trot, presented by The Credit Union of Colorado. We will be starting and finishing again on Main Street in front of The Credit Union of Colorado. The Little Gobbler kids race will begin at 9 a.m., and will be followed by the 5k race at 9:20.

2014 Discraft Ace Race hosted by Triple Play Records
Triple Play Records will be hosting a disc golf event, for all skill levels, sponsored by Discraft called the Ace Race!
Players will play two rounds of 18 holes, one throw per hole per player. Holes are generally between 180 and 250 feet (55 to 75 meters). The Entry fee is $25 for cash and $27 for credit cards. Each year, disc golfers from around the world gather at their local courses for one purpose: to throw aces (to reach a hole in one throw)! No putting, no approaching... just runnin' at the chains. To add to the challenge and excitement, players all throw the same model disc: a brand new, never been released before, prototype disc.
The 2014 Ace Race will take place October 25th, 2014 at Riverbend Park in Palisade, Colorado from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00p.m. A costume contest will be held for a prize, and lunch will be provided at NO EXTRA COST! The player package ($65 value) includes two identical Discraft prototype discs made especially for this year's Ace Race, plus a premium Buzzz disc golf towel, Discraft classic sandwich cap, SuperColor mini, an Ace Race flying skull bag tag, one flying skull sticker and a PDGA membership discount coupon. All included with your entry fee!
