WOD (Workout of the Day) will be held at 11:00AM for 54 year-old local woman who has qualified and will be competing at the Master's Crossfit Games in Carson, California. The recommended entrance fee is $25, but all donations are gladly accepted. All proceeds go to her Crossfit Games journey. Crossfit WestCo is also having a t-shirt fundraiser for Mary Beth. Fruita Farmers Market

Fruita will be kicking off the 2014 Fruita Farmer’s Market season on Saturday, June 28th with vendors and artisans selling fresh local produce, baked goods, honeys, soaps and more. This free event runs every Saturday this summer through September 20th from 8:30 am – 12:30 pm at Civic Center Park in Fruita.
June’s Fruita Fall Festival Centennial event will be held during the first market day on June 28th and will be feature old-fashioned fair games for the entire family. There will also be a kiddie train in the Civic Center parking lot.
Each market will also provide live entertainment. Peggy Malone, “the Little Girl with the Big Voice” and western music artist, will provide some fun boot-stompin’, toe-tappin’ entertainment for our kick-off Market.
Vendor space is still available for vendors offering either regional produce or unique, handmade product lines.

4th Annual Lavender Festival
9 a.m. - 4 p.m.
120 W. 8th Street, Palisade
Colorado's only lavender festival. On July 11 there are guided bus tours of working lavender farms and gardens featuring lavender. On July 12 there is a festival in Palisade's Veterans Memorial park featuring vendors, seminars and demonstrations on all things lavender related. On the evening of the 12th there is a gala dinner at the Wine Country Inn. On July 13 there is a self-guided tour of lavender farms and businesses that are open to the public.
