Spaghetti Dinner and Silent Auction for GrandValley Pit Crew

May 4, 2014 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

End Zone Sports Pub located at 152 S. Mesa in Fruita
Grand Valley Pit Crew is an organization that provides resources for behavior problems, training, adoptions and more for dogs. Come out and support them by attending the dinner. Shanna Davis started the pit crew in 2002 and has successfully accomplished many re-homing of the Pit Bull breed. Tickets in advance are $10 and kids under 10-year-old are $5. General admission will be $12 for adults. They will be accepting silent auction items until Friday, May 2. All proceeds will for dog food and vet bills.

Adobe Creek Golf Tournament

The Knights of Columbus Council is hosting a golf tournament to benefit homeless teenagers in the Grand Valley. Participating will benefit homeless teens staying at The House. The House helps local teenagers receive the therapy, assistance with employment, a clean bed to sleep in, food, medical attention and caring adults.

Holiday Heroes Drive

Partners Benefit Pistol Shoot

San Juan Shooting Range, Montrose CO
Come out with your handgun and 100 rounds of ammunition (no magnums) and shoot four courses of fire as an individual and/or sign up with two others to form a 3 person team and compete with local law enforcement and other local friends.
There will be Cowboy, USPSA and IDPA shooters running side shoots where you can shoot your guns. There will be loaner guns to borrow and try out for a separate fee plus ammo.
Many of your local law enforcement officers will be there to compete and to assist the public with their shooting. No experience is necessary as coaching will be provided. Come for a fun time, bring your family see how you stack up against local law enforcement and help PARTNERS help our kids.

Palisade Peach Plunge

A benefit for the PHS Knowledge Bowl Team, the Peach Plunge is a spin off of a rubber duck race, where 2000 peaches will race down the Colorado River for a chance to win great prizes. Peaches can be purchased at Gelato Junction, Gene Taylors, Palisade Coop Country, Roasted Espresso & Subs, and at the Palisade, Fruita, and some GJ Farmer's Markets.
