Christmas Concert
Dec 22, 2011 - Dec 24, 2011 11:00 a.m.
Landmark Baptist Church, 2711 Unaweep Avenue, Grand Junction
Landmark Baptist Church will present the cantata From Christmas to Calvary by Glenn and Jan Christianson on Friday, December 23 at 7:00 p.m. and again on Sunday, December 25 at 11:00 a.m.
In this story Hank, who is old and cantankerous and is bitter toward God and the church, learns the true meaning of Christmas—that Jesus came to earth with the sole reason of dying on the cross for our sins. Some of the choir goes caroling at Hank’s home, where he lives with his daughter and her family, and they have a great effect on Hank. Hank is able to soften his heart and overcome his bitterness enough to trust the Lord as his Saviour. Hank finds a reason for living.
The event will be held at Landmark Baptist Church located at 2711 Unaweep Avenue in Grand Junction. There is no cost and nursery is provided. Call 970-257-1047 for further information.
