Come enjoy an evening of dance, music, and laughter at Dance Works presentation of “Cinderella,” a delightful comedic ballet that is wonderful entertainment for the entire family! Over 150 ballet students ages 3 and up will be participating in the production being held at Grand Junction High School. Reserved seating tickets are on sale now for the performances Friday, January 30th, at 7 pm and Saturday, January 31st, at 7 pm. Tickets at the door are $18 for adults and $15 for children 12 and under and seniors (65+). Save $3 per ticket when purchased in advance. Tom Neilson Concert & Chili Dinner Fundraiser

Come and enjoy an evening of music with a message as Tom Neilson performs live in Grand Junction on March 29th at the Mesa Mall Community Room. Suggested donation is $10 - $25 per person.
As a folk singer/songwriter, Tom has 13 recordings with one in progress. Tom has long-standing involvements with groups working for peace and justice, you will hear his music at the gates of military bases, nuclear plants, on union lines, and to free political prisoners. Having lived much of his life outside the U.S., Tom has performed his music in 20 countries on five continents. His original works, parodies, well known freedom songs, and poetry draw the listener into his musical response to globalization. His music tells the stories of peoples' struggles against greed and violence. Always an environmentalist, Tom has been at the forefront in organizing and songwriting to help people working against water privatization, mountaintop removal, fracking, climate change, nuclear waste, toxic dumps and incinerators. His music has been used in eight documentaries.

The public is cordially invited to a special performance of beloved American hymns for choir and symphony orchestra, conducted by Monte Atkinson, professor of music at Colorado Mesa University. Presented as the annual Stake President’s Concert of the Grand Junction West Stake of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, the program includes stirring renditions of The Lord is My Shepherd, Amazing Grace, The Spirit of God Like a Fire is Burning, Jesus, Once of Humble Birth, My Song in the Night, and other great hymns.
Featuring a choir of 95 voices with symphony orchestra, including harp, bagpipe, and pipe organ, these beautiful and powerful hymn settings bring to life some of our most treasured hymns. The program will last an hour and is best suited for those 8 and older. Seating opens at 6:30 pm.
