Classes will be offered in ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop, and pre-K. We encourage kids to try all the styles of dance or classes for their age group.

Cinderella: The Ballet

Robinson Theatre at the Moss Performing Arts Center on the campus of CMUAbsolute Dance of Grand Junction is proud to announce the upcoming presentation of Cinderella, a full-length ballet, as the studio's major performance for the Winter 2012-2013 season. Originally composed by Sergei Prokofiev and premiered at the Bolshoi Theater in Russia in 1945, Cinderella grew to become one of Prokofiev's most popular and melodious compositions, inspiring a great many choreographers since its inception. The jubilant music, lush scenery, comedic turns by the Stepsisters and classic fairy tale story of Cinderella meeting her Prince charming are just a few of the reasons why audiences have flocked to attend performances of Cinderella, the ballet, for so many years.
Cinderella will be presented at the Montrose Pavilion in Montrose, Colorado, on Friday, January 18th at 7:30pm, Saturday, January 19th at 2:00pm and 7:30pm, and Sunday, January 20th at 2:00pm. Grand Junction Cinderella performances will take place in the Robinson Theatre in the Moss Performing Arts Center on the campus of Colorado Mesa University, with shows on Friday, January 25th at 7:30pm, Saturday, January 26th at 2:00pm and 7:30pm, and a final encore at 2:00pm on Sunday, January 27th.

Michael Vargas aka "Xmastreemike" has been a dancer since 2003 where he got his first role in the feature film You Got Served. From there, his career has taken off working with such artists as Missy Elliott, Ciara, Ryan Leslie, Fergie, Omarion, and is currently on tour with Justin Bieber. Michael didn't start dancing until the age of 19 when he moved to LA from the Bay Area in 2002.
He has trained with the biggest names in the industry and has worked his way to become well respected in the dance industry.
Price: $15 in advance or $20 at the door
