Seed Swap!

Western Colorado Botanical Gardens’ Children’s Library, 641 Struthers Ave., GJct. CO
Who : You! and everyone else!

What: Bring seeds to swap, organic is preferred, envelopes for seeds, sense of humor. Seeds can be store bought, saved seeds, or plant cuttings. Please mark donations with the species, variety, date of harvest or any other pertinent information you think is of interest . (Please take only a portion, and do save seed from what you take, so you can bring it to the next seed swap!)

When: Sunday February 8th, 2:00 – 4:00

Where: 641 Struthers ‘Where 7th St. meets the river’ You may use the Public Parking to the East or the Staff Parking on the West. If you use the Public parking, just let the gift shop know that you’re here for the seed swap before you go through the gate. (So they don’t think you’re sneaking in). Thanks!

Spring River Cleanup

Western Colorado Botanical Gardens - 641 Struthers Avenue, Grand Junction, CO
A service project sponsored by the national service organizations serving Mesa County including Mesa County AmeriCorps, Senior Companions, Foster Grandparents, Mesa County RSVP and the Western Colorado Conservation Corps to clean up Watson Island a part of the Botanical Gardens. Refreshments will be provided and entrance to the Botanical Gardens is free for volunteers. Bring your gloves and be ready to work!

Delta Home, Garden & Rec Show

There is only one show in Delta County that brings together all types of businesses in one place: the annual Home, Garden & Recreation Show, held this year on Friday and Saturday, March 28-29 at Bill Heddles Recreation Center. In 2013, there were nearly 900 people attending the show, coming from all over Delta County as well as Olathe, Montrose and parts of Mesa County.

Rates begin at just $65 for a non-profit and range to $300 for an outside space. Late fees apply for booths reserved after March 14, and booths are sold on a first come, first served basis. Vendor applications are available online at www.DeltaColorado.org or by calling the Delta Area Chamber of Commerce at 874-8616.
