Detox JumpStart week 3 - Debra Cahill, DOM, LAc

2817 North Ave, Grand Junction
Presented by Healers of the Valley & Spinning Tree Healing. The third in a series of four seminars geared toward giving you a jumpstart on detoxifying your system. Jump into Summer from Spring with dietary and detoxification suggestions from an Oriental medical perspective.

Debra Cahill is a Doctor of Oriental Medicine and Licensed Acupuncturist who treats patients in Grand Junction, CO. She will present dietary and detoxification ideas from this perspective to help you make a smooth, healthy transition from Spring to Summer.

The change of seasons is an ideal time to boost the body's health by assisting it with proper nutrition. Attention to diet at this time will revitalize and energize your core, using the energy of the incoming season to facilitate improved health. We look at "detox" from a very different perspective, in that not everyone has the same nutritional or detoxification needs. Food is considered to be medicinal.

More emphasis is placed on what one is to eat for the greatest health benefit, rather than what you do not eat. Many useful resources will also be provided so that you can take your own health back into your own hands.
Cost per seminar is $25, or $75 for all the seminars combined. Tickets available at City Market, by phone at 1-866-464-2626, or online at www.TicketsWest.com

2013 CLUB 20 Fall Meeting-Understanding the Affordable Care Act

Grand Junction
Registration is now open for the 2013 CLUB 20 Fall Meeting to be held September 6 and 7 at Two Rivers Convention Center in Grand Junction, CO. On Friday, September 6 the CLUB 20 Board meeting will be held followed by a Chuckwagon Steak Fry at Cross Orchards Living History Museum.
On Saturday, September 7, CLUB 20 in conjunction with the CLUB 20 Education and Research Foundation (as part of a Colorado Trust grant) are pleased to present an opportunity to learn about the impacts to individuals, families, and/or Colorado businesses as the Affordable Care Act is implemented over the next few months.

“We will see significant changes in the way Western Colorado residents and businesses purchase health care insurance as Colorado’s health exchange, Connect for Health Colorado, is launched on October 1, 2013, and the Affordable Care Act becomes effective on January 1, 2014,” said CLUB 20 Chairman, Steve Reynolds.

“CLUB 20 strives to provide relevant information regarding key issues of the day during our Fall Meetings,” said Executive Director, Bonnie Petersen, “we learned from the meetings the CLUB 20 Foundation has conducted over the last two years that Western Coloradans are confused and concerned about the rules related to the Affordable Care Act and what role Connect for Health Colorado will play as the new health care program is implemented. This event will provide an opportunity for people to understand how they can obtain health insurance coverage as well as how to determine if they are qualified for a premium support payment. Business owners will learn what may be required of them in terms of providing health insurance for employees as well.”

See the Draft Agenda below. Be sure to join us for an overview of health care changes that will have far reaching implications for most Western Coloradans.

The two-day event is open to the public. For more information or to register, visit the CLUB 20 website at www.club20.org or call the office at (970) 242-3264. There are a limited number of tickets available for the Friday evening Steak Fry, so be sure to register early!
