GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) - A slow-moving storm dumped rain on much of the Grand Valley this afternoon, resulting in flooding, downed trees, accidents and other damage.

People in neighborhoods and businesses on North Avenue near 29 Road have seen heavy damage from wind, downed trees and flood waters. 11 News crews are on scene and will bring you their stories tonight at 5:30 p.m.
A pickup truck hauling a load of gravel 'did a ballet across the bridge' according to Colorado State Troopers, dumping part of its load on the 32 Road bridge over the Colorado River. Troopers say the trailer's brake failed and the driver received a ticket for the faulty equipment. The accident closed the road for about an hour and backed up traffic in both directions. 11 News had a crew on scene and you can watch that video tonight at 5:30 and 10 p.m.
11 News Meteorologist James Hopkins says we can expect more of the same weather throughout the day. He says you should look for off and on showers with rain, strong winds and lightning until sunset, when it will taper off into overnight hours.
