Reno, Nev. (AP) Another winter storm is set to pound several western states today.
Residents in Utah, Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, Wyoming, Montana and the Dakotas are all waking up under winter storm warnings. Southwestern Colorado is under a blizzard warning.
Up to 20 inches of snow was forecast in parts of the Rockies, along with wind gusts of up to 80 miles-per-hour.
Northern California’s Sierra Nevada got a white Christmas. Another two feet of snow fell around Lake Tahoe yesterday, and some ski resorts say they’ve gotten 10 feet of snow in just the last two weeks.
At times, whiteout conditions generated by that storm forced California officials to close stretches of Interstate 80.
