Denver (AP) The drive to work across the Denver Metro area is slow-going as steadily falling snow and slick roads hold up traffic.
Police shut down traffic on eastbound Colfax avenue near the state capitol after a regional transportation district bus got stuck in the snow.
Forecasters said up to 2 inches of snow could fall Monday morning in the Denver area and then taper off by midday. Another 1 to 3 inches were expected to fall in Boulder and in the northern suburbs and up to 6 inches in the south-Denver area and over the Palmer Divide.
The National Weather Service said high winds on the eastern plains could cause blowing snow and reduce visibility.
