Greeley, Colo. (AP) A funnel cloud was spotted by an amateur radio spotter about 10 miles northeast of Windsor as severe thunderstorms moved through the area.
The national weather service advised residents to take cover in Greeley, Severance, Purcell, Lucerne, Galeton, Eaton, and Ault.
There were no immediate reports Wednesday of the funnel cloud touching down or any damage.
The area is east of interstate 25 north of Windsor, where a tornado touched down in may 2008, destroying 80 homes and damaging another 770.
One person was killed in a campground near Greeley in that tornado.
