Jasmina Alston

Jasmina Alston is an Emmy Award-winning reporter at Atlanta News First. She joined the team in 2017.

During her time in Atlanta, Jasmina has covered several major stories, including coverage of Super Bowl workers who were unpaid, the George Floyd protests and capturing the moment two college students were tased during those protests.

Prior to working at Atlanta News First, Jasmina was a multimedia journalist at ABC 33/40 in Birmingham, Alabama. There she managed the East Alabama bureau for the station.

Jasmina started her news career as the political reporter for WDHN in Dothan, Alabama, covering state and local politics.

Jasmina is originally from Germany, but spent most of her time in Augusta, Georgia.

As a graduate of Georgia State University, Jasmina is excited to be back in Atlanta.
