Sarah Schwabe is the News Director for KKCO 11 News. Sarah was promoted to News Director in April of 2019 after anchoring Daybreak for more than two years. She moved to Grand Junction from Colorado Springs where she worked as a journalist for seven years. She did a little bit of everything during her time in Colorado Springs: she reported, did weather, and anchored. She covered several major stories including the deadly Black Forest fire and the Planned Parenthood shooting. Sarah started her journalism career in Idaho Falls, Idaho where she worked as a reporter and anchor. Sarah graduated with honors from the University of Colorado at Boulder, earning a degree in Broadcast News. Go Buffs! A Colorado native, Sarah loves exploring the Western Slope with her husband and two daughters. In her spare time, Sarah loves to dance, play volleyball and spend time with her family.
