MESA COUNTY, Colo. (KKCO/KJCT)-- The Mesa County Coroner's Office said there does not appear to be anything suspicious regarding the death of the woman found New Year's Day in a canal near 27 1/2 Road in Orchard Mesa.
The coroner's office also said their report on the cause and manner of death of Lydia Hershberger, 28, of Fruita, is pending a toxicology analysis, which could take up to six weeks.
The sheriff's office is working with the coroner's office to determine what exactly happened. Officials believed Hershberger died 12 to 24 hours prior to the discovery.
