GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) - The Salvation Army, The Western Slope Harley Owners Group, and Grand Junction Harley Davidson teamed up for their 40th annual Holiday Toy Run.
In years past, there have been up to 800 riders that have participated. Bikers strapped stuffed animals or toys to the backs of their bikes to make sure that no child goes without one on Christmas morning. Kickstands went up at around noon at the Harley dealership and they rode to Grand Mesa Middle School to drop off the toys.
“This is for the children. We come out so every child in the valley can have a toy. That’s what’s important that every child for Christmas has something to open,” says rider Monica Puls.
Monica and Randy had their first date at the Harley Toy Run ten years ago and have made giving back an annual tradition for them
