GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO/KJCT)-- According to a case report from the Mesa County Sheriff’s Office, a small container of suspected meth was found by students on the playground of Clifton Elementary School.
Students found the glass vial on the playground during recess and one of them took it home, then a parent took it from the student, the report said. Tuesday the parent brought it to the principal, wanting the school to deal with the vial, according to the report.
The report states the Sheriff’s Deputy who responded to the call tested the crystal substance in the vial with two different test kits and each result was “presumptive positive” for methamphetamines.
According to the report, the case was closed after the suspected meth was booked into the sheriff’s office for destruction.
