GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO/KJCT)-- A start up food and supply pantry has popped up in the past few weeks, in order to help those needing a little extra help.
It's called a Blessing Box, designed by a local carpenter for the Unitarian Universalist Church of the Grand Valley.
The idea is for people to donate everyday items like food, diapers, and warms clothes for others to take as they need them.
The church says so far it's been very popular, with new things taken out and added daily.
"I think our community the world we need more kindness and this is kind of anonymous kindness if you have it you leave it, if you need it you take it,” said Reverend Wendy Jones with the Unitarian Universalist Church.
Reverend Jones says the Mesa County Libraries have offered to donate books to the Blessing Box at least once a week.
