Suspect in stolen SUV allegedly hits woman and flees

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO/KJCT)-- UPDATE: Police have found the 2003 Chevy Tahoe, license plate GOA706, that’s dark green and has damage to its front bumper.

It’s the SUV that allegedly hit a parked car that rolled forward and pinned a woman between it and another car, breaking her leg.

It was found in the 600 block of Horizon Place, parked and unattended.

Original story: A suspect is on the run and a woman has been rushed to the hospital after a car allegedly smashed into her.

It happened in the 2200 block of 20th Street near Walnut Avenue around 9:30 p.m. Thursday.

The woman was reportedly using jumper cables to jump-start a car.
She was standing in between the two cars when another car allegedly crashed into one pinning her between the two.

That car then took off. Police are still looking for the suspect.

Police said that the suspect is in a stolen a green Chevy Tahoe.

There was no immediate word on the extent of the woman's injuries.
