GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO/KJCT)-- It has been a project in the works since January, but it's finally done. Caroline’s Restaurant at the Wine Country Inn in Palisade will be open this weekend.
The 3,000-foot expansion not only gives the restaurant more space, but it gives those behind the scenes more room, too. The kitchen area is expanded and upgraded with things like walk-in coolers.
Caroline’s can now handle about 60 guests, and it keeps the staff from having to walk food orders across the hallways and lobby of the hotel.
“We’ll still be offering light fare in the Tapestry Lounge, but for lunch and dinner, Caroline’s here will take most of the food service off of the rest of the hotel, and that really works well for us with our new and improved line, our new kitchen, and our new footprint here," said General Manager of Wine Country Inn Ian Kelley.
Officials at Wine Country Inn say they are glad to have the new restaurant ready for Winefest, which is coming up on September 15.
