FRUITA, Colo. (KKCO/KJCT)-- A tradition more than a hundred years old continues in Fruita.
The 104th Annual Fruita Fall Festival began Friday afternoon. The three-day event will host more than a hundred vendors, musical guests and carnival rides.
Each night, holds a special event.
Friday night the Fruita Fall Festival beauty pageant took place. Saturday, a pizza eating contest, and Sunday is for Broncos fans. A Bronco watch party will be at the Civic Center Park.
"We're really excited about the weather that is here this weekend. It's going to be a wonderful, wonderful time. We just have so many things going on. It's just a really great way to kick off fall. It's a great way to come down and be a part of the community, support local vendors and be involved in some of the activities and events that are here in Fruita," said Jennifer Seal, Executive Director of Fruita Area Chamber of Commerce.
