GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO/KJCT News)-- The 4th annual Pink the Rink game brought a lot of hockey fans out to Glacier arena.
Hockey fans and the CMU hockey team showed up decked out in pink to symbolize breast cancer awareness.This fundraising event goes to support St. Mary's Cancer Survivorship Program.
"The turnout we get from the community and the school is awesome. These are probably the biggest crowds that most of us have ever played in front of. So it's a really fun atmosphere and we're looking forward to a win tonight," says the CMU team captain, Philip Flink.
Fans could also support the cause through a raffle. This year the Mavericks took on Northern Arizona University's hockey team.
