GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO/KJCT)-- The snow might have slowed things down on your morning drive Monday, but for one local mom, it was an excuse to get her kids outside to play.
Not a bad day to get out the sled and play in the snow.
Local mom, Michelle Weckenbrock says as soon as her kids were done with preschool, they put on their coats and headed over to Lincoln Park.
"They do better than we do in the cold weather. They are playing, they are running, and they get sweaty. We are just standing here drinking coffee, so I think they have it a little bit better than we do. So, not very hard to get them out," Weckenbrock said.
The National Weather Service says we got 2.6 inches of snow in Grand Junction.
