GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO/KJCT) -- We've brought you stories about all kinds of different yoga -- yoga for veterans, goat yoga -- but not yoga for kids.
That's exactly what kids at the Central Library were doing Thursday night. They spent the evening doing poses like warrior and planks, nothing too extreme.
The instructor of the class says yoga helps kids relax and focus on themselves just like it does for adults.
"Yoga is helpful to help kids slow down and calm down," Nykole Coombs, yoga instructor, said. "I think we forget that kids have so much anxiety. It's so much being little in this body and this world."
It's all part of the library's Neighbors Read program.
