PAONIA, Colo. (KKCO/KJCT)-- A big drug bust and lab was found in a garage in Paonia.
While lab tests have yet to confirm the type of drug, investigators believe the lab was possibly making meth and ecstasy.
The Delta County Sheriff's Office says investigators and clean-up crews were at this drug lab for over 12 hours get all the chemicals out of the garage.
And now, lab results from the DEA will have to show whether it was meth, or ecstasy, or maybe both.
"There was a white powder substance, there were other beakers that had liquid substance, and chemicals in them. One of the DEA lab crews said they hadn't seen a lab of this magnitude in about 15 years," Delta County Sheriff, Mark Taylor.
In addition to a suspect in Michigan, Sheriff Mark Taylor says a woman that was at the home when the lab was found, is under investigation.
