GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KJCT/KKCO) -- A little sleepy this Sunday? It may be because we’ve sprung forward; at around 2:00 a.m. Sunday daylight saving time kicked in.
And it’s time to change your clocks.
We wanted to know, what people in Grand Junction think of this time-bending tradition that got us all one less hour of sleep. All but two of the people we polled said, they would like to see daylight saving abolished.
According to AAA, it takes most people about two weeks to adjust their sleep schedules, and the dangers of drowsy driving are very real.
Missing just two hours of sleep can quadruple your chances of getting in a crash, much like driving drunk.
The best bet is to plan on going to sleep a little “earlier” to adjust more quickly.
