Campaigns gear up to get votes around town

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO/KJCT)-- You're probably seeing political signs beginning dot the streets. Ballots should be hitting mailboxes in the coming days, if not already.

There are six measures residents of Grand Junction will have to make a decision on—from a public safety and road sales tax to a community center.

The ballot is two sided, and the 2C campaign, for the community center, is hoping they're not forgotten on the back.

The campaign said they've put out hundreds of signs. They are meeting people around town at coffee shops all week. They'll be at Copeka Coffee Wednesday.

“It's just something we want to let people know, to turn it over, and vote yes on 2C,” said Andreya Krieves, 2C organizer.

There are three city council seats up for election as well.
