GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO/KJCT)-- For the 21st time, some students at Grand Junction High School won the Knowledge Bowl state tournament.
Eight teens competed in Fort Collins. The Knowledge Bowl is a "Jeopardy!" style team challenge. Players have to buzz in first, answer correctly and get points. They have spent a while getting ready for this—studying hard and practicing twice a week.
"I think it gives kids a chance to shine at something that isn't always praiseworthy," said James Rasmussen, captain of the team.
They won the 5A state championship. They said it feels pretty good to carry on the school legacy.
