Teacher Appreciation Week

FRUITA, Colo. (KKCO/KJCT)-- Teachers are in the spotlight this week in honor of Teacher Appreciation Week.

Students, and parents, at Shelledy Elementary school, in Fruita, are thanking teachers with gifts, arts and crafts and food.

"We put so much love and hard work into what we do for our students so it really just makes us smile when we kind of see that appreciation come back," said April Mosbarger, 1st and 2nd grade teacher at Shelledy.

In honor of Teacher Appreciation Week, the District 51 Foundation is selling paper dolls. The dolls, and a personalized message, will be delivered to teachers throughout the week. Proceeds from the dolls will go back to District 51 students and teachers.
